# Explanation of the Bankfull Discharge Exercise

### Exercise Objective

To assess the Bankfull Discharge estimate extracted from the 9-207 and WATSTORE stage-discharge relationship.

### Exercise Explanation

1. Bankfull stage was given as 22 ft
2. Graphically, Bankfull stage of 22 ft intersected the plotted data regression line at a Bankfull Discharge of approximately 24,000 cfs along the Annual Peak data line from the WATSTORE dataset.
3. Mathmatically, Bankfull stage of 22 ft inserted into the regression equation on the graph resulted in a Bankfull Discharge value of 23,639 cfs.
